Itinerary

Arrive at Paro International Airport, enjoying one of the world’s most scenic mountain flights. After meeting your guide, visit Rinpung Dzong and the National Museum (Ta Dzong).

Later, drive to Thimphu (1.5 hrs) along the Paro Chhu River.

Explore Thimphu’s cultural highlights:

Hiking Duration: 5–6 hours

Continue hiking through yak pastures and rolling hills to Labatama, a stunning highland area surrounded by alpine lakes and mountain ridges. This region is known for its peaceful environment and clear night skies.

Enjoy a relaxed evening by the campsite.
Overnight: Tented Campsite

Spend the morning exploring nearby alpine lakes, ideal for photography and birdwatching. After lunch, hike towards Panka campsite, passing open grasslands and scenic ridgelines.

This day highlights the true essence of Bhutan camping in the Himalayas.

Hiking Distance: ~6 km | Duration: 3 hours

Descend gradually through forest trails to Chamgang village, marking the end of your hiking and camping adventure. Transfer by road to Thimphu or Paro for onward stay or departure.
